Ashington Male Voice Choir Centenary

Northumberland’s Ashington & District Male Voice Choir is about to celebrate its centenary and is looking for help to fill in some ‘blank spaces’ in its history. There must be many in south east and mid Northumberland who have had association with the choir and it would love to hear from anyone who can help fill the blanks with photographs, stories or memorabilia. Contact can be made through the website, or by telephone to 01670 790169.

The Ashington Choir Centenary Celebrations start in earnest from 1st January but the launch is on 12th December with the Choir’s Christmas Concert with guest choir ‘Octavian’ at Holy Sepulchre Church Ashington at 7-00pm. Tickets are only £6 available from members, Holy Sepulchre Church, Al’s Superstore or through the website. Once into the New Year the choir will be working towards its main celebration on 14th May with a Gala Concert in the Northumberland Church of England Academy in Ashington.

Rehearsals for Ashington Male Voice Choir are now in Bomarsund Welfare on Thursday evenings and new members are always welcome, just come along and give us a try.
