A Golden Guide for Newcastle/North Tyneside is in preparation. A sister publication to the popular Golden Guide Northumberland, the new title will follow the same format covering topics relevant to over 50s in the region. It will be an annual guide, and will be available free from various outlets in the summer.

A separate Golden Guide for Newcastle and North Tyneside has been in the pipeline for some time, following numerous requests from these areas over the last few years.
Editor Heather Alabaster says ‘It’s taken a while, but now we’re working flat out on the latest guide. We’re finding all kinds of information that will be incredibly useful for over 50s. If they’re looking for specialist advice, or something new to get involved in, or just want to keep vital local numbers close to hand, the new Golden Guide Newcastle/North Tyneside will be just the thing!’
The team are happy to consider for inclusion ideas about new services or facilities for older people in these areas. If you know of something that should be in please email firstname.lastname@example.org or ring on 0191 386 5918. As they say …it’s a whole new chapter for the Golden Guide!
