Peaky Crafters – arts and crafts social club, Newcastle

Peaky Crafters is the new Royal Voluntary Service’s arts and crafts social group in Newcastle.

If you’d like to know how to make jewellery, or fairy jars, or Christmas willow wreaths – or simply recycle bits and pieces from home this crafty social club could be just the thing!

This friendly group enjoys creating all kinds of handmade arts and crafts items. It’s also a great place to socialise and help you meet other people in your area. You can come and make lovely things  – or else just turn up for a cup of tea, a biscuit and a good chat. Everyone is welcome – both men and women – and there are occasional trips and outings too.

Sessions may also include glass painting, soap making, cross-stitch or even decorative birdhouses with no experience necessary!  Although if you enjoy a particular craft Lorraine would love you to come and show the group how to do it too!

Where:   Newcastle Building Society Community Room, 105-107 High Street, Gosforth, Newcastle NE3 1HA

When:    Tuesday 10.30am-12.30pm (you can join the group any Tuesday)

Fee:        Only £2 per session
