Online Forums are being organised by Healthwatch Northumberland.
Since they are unable to get out across the county to meet with and listen to people for a while, they are holding a set of public online forums.
Healthwatch would like to encourage members of the public to attend, to have their voice heard and help identify where there may be problems and possible solutions.
The online forums are all on Wednesday’s at 2.00 pm. The forums will take place via Zoom. Read the Healthwatch guide on how to use Zoom.
Themes and Dates
There is a different theme every week, although mental health is the main focus over the next 6 weeks, since this has come up as an issue of concern for Northumberland residents.
Healthwatch invite everyone to join them.
Below are the dates of the next confirmed events:
17th June – Maternity Services
[24th June – week break]
1st July – Mental Health
8 July – Health and Social Care Services: Open forum to gather experiences of any service in the last 12 months, e.g. GPs, Hospitals, Mental Health services, Care Homes, Dentists, Pharmacists, NHS111, or any changes related to Covid 19.
15th July – Unpaid Carers and Mental Health
12th August – Cancer Services
If you cannot attend
If you are unable to take part but would like to tell us about your experience of these services, Caroline and Lesley are available by phone, text and email each Wednesday between 3.00pm and 4.00pm to listen, answer any questions and help with providing information about services.
The details are also all available on the Healthwatch website at https://healthwatchnorthumberland.co.uk/
The subjects of these online forums change every week, so if you’d like to share your experiences of services in the last 12 months, or those of someone close to you, please join in.
